On Saturday A1 Diagnostics attended a charity fundraiser in support of Zalehka Louise Price-Davies and the charity Headway. It was a great night where we heard lots of inspirational stories from people who have suffered brain injuries who are making big steps forwards in their rehabilitation.
On the night we heard from Zalehka talking about her inspirational story and experiences over the past two years after suffering a brain injury in Ireland. The photo below is Zalehka going through rehabilitation being supported by Headway.
Zalheka is pictured below speaking at the charity fundraiser along with her family on Saturday night.
One thing we observed on the night was the spirit and unity of everyone who have suffered brain injuries, this was touching, it was a great example that demonstrated in times of trouble when everyone comes together to support one another great things can be achieved.
From each person we talked to we learned about some of the struggles people with brain injuries are faced with. The biggest struggle seemed to be people not understanding just what somebody is going through. This is why Headway’s work is so important in raising the awareness for those who have brain injuries and developing programmes to help those people with brain injuries.
The fundraiser had everything from food, a touch of the bubbly and excellent raffle prizes.
Former Wales Rugby Union player Craig Quinnell who has 32 caps for the Wales rugby team came along to auction some great sporting memorabilia. Pictured below is Craig auctioning a signed Lions rugby jersey along with other great items.
On the night there was also a chance to raise money spinning the wheel with a game of roulette and shuffling the cards with a game of black jack. Here are photos of people playing the tables.

“Been going to A1 for about 6 years now – can’t recommend them highly enough – staff are always friendly and helpful – brilliant job!”
“I would like to thank you all once again for the great work you did in repairing the ECU off my 1991 Lexus Soarer. Without you I would have had little option but to scrap the car as it was undriveable with a defective ECU.
I would thoroughly recommend you to anyone who requires such work and I am sure that all your other work is carried out to a similar high standard. Your Customer Service is excellent – I only wish that other companies I have dealt with in the past could have been the same.
I will certainly contact you again in the future as I am certain I will require more work to be done on my Lexus and the other cars that I own.”
