Cars are designed to very complex standards in today’s times. There are sensors that are placed all over the vehicle that monitor the vehicles performance and communicate data to the ECU. The ECU will alert you if there is any potential problem with the vehicle such as the engine overheating and other various faults.
Sensors can become damaged or give faulty readings when your vehicle has been involved in a collision. If the vehicle has had a heavy shunt, then the sensors can be knocked out of alignment and will need to be re-aligned and reset. We have the technology needed to reset car sensors on vehicles of all brand types.
Let’s look at an example. We have a Volkswagen vehicle sitting in our electrical bay, here is a photo of that vehicle.
This vehicle was involved in a heavy collision out on the road. This knocked out the Blind Spot Detection Systems on the vehicle. The sensors were not working properly and the driver could not park properly using the driver aided system, therefore the Blind Spot Detection System needed re-calibrate.
Here is the vehicle being lined up on our ADAS technology that re-calibrates the Blind Spot Detection Systems on the vehicle.
The vehicle is now back with the owner with all sensors working exactly how they should be working.
We have serviced hundreds if not thousands of vehicles from our electrical bay. We have all the ADAS equipment needed to reset sensors that are not working on vehicles properly. As we said at the beginning of the article modern day vehicles are being designed with the most advanced technology, and sensors fitted to give readings on how that technology is performing on your vehicle.
Only the most advanced independent garages are going to survive in the future, those who invest in technology that can diagnose faults on vehicle sensors are going to be the winners.
