Last weekend in partnership with Giovanni’s Restaurant we launched a new food donation basket at their restaurant in Cardiff Bay.

This new food donation basket will be based at Giovanni’s Restaurant every month of the year. If you would like to donate food pop into the restaurant and pop your donation into the baskets.
The team at Cardiff Food Bank came along to support the event and to enjoy some of the delicious Italian food Giovanni’s Restaurant cooked from their award-winning kitchen. Here is a photo of the Cardiff Food Bank team.

Here are photos of the delicious five-star food that left the hot plate at Giovanni’s Restaurant.

We were treated to live music on the day from the awesome Ayesha Pontin pictured below.

Visit Ayesha’s X / Twitter page if you would like to know more about her music services.
Ayesha’s singing brought in a few families who got to hear about the new food donation basket, as well as trying Giovanni’s Restaurant awesome food.

We would highly recommend Giovanni’s Restaurant and suggest you pop in yourselves to taste just how good the food is. Visit their website to make a booking.

Why are we supporting Cardiff Food Bank?
Demand for Cardiff Food Bank services have only increased. The cost-of-living crisis has stretched the pennies of some of the most vulnerable people in Cardiff. This has led to an increase in people turning to food banks in Cardiff. Here is an infographic of the weight distribution of food being moved through Cardiff Foodbank.

Can you setup a food donation basket at your work premises
Giovanni’s Restaurant and A1 Diagnostics are leading the way in helping good causes like Cardiff Foodbank. Giovanni’s Restaurant have been feeding vulnerable people with free food for the over ten years. A1 Diagnostics have been servicing Cardiff Foodbank vehicles without charging any of the labour costs to help them save money. This new food donation basket unveiled by A1 Diagnostics and Giovanni’s Restaurant is more evidence that they are helping some of the most vulnerable people in Cardiff.
A1 Diagnostics and Giovanni’s Restaurant are appealing to other businesses to setup a food donation basket. Food donations will help the most vulnerable people in Cardiff, and ensure Cardiff Foodbank have enough provisions to ensure food is delivered to vulnerable people.
