Metalic Build up in the Turbo

When there is a turbo problem present what you will see is a build up of metallic shrapnel inside the turbo. This build up can be caused because of a number of reasons from engine wear and tear, vehicle components breaking down or even oil contamination. Oil contamination is when you put the wrong oil in the engine or a cheap oil. Cheap oil can burn up quickly leaving your engine dry and affecting components like the turbo. This is why here at A1 Diagnostics we only use oils that can be trusted like Shell or Mobil1. Here is a photo of metalic build up within the turbo on a vehicle, this build up causes the turbo to fail and the vehicle to lose power.
