A1 Diagnostics are raising money for Prostate Cancer UK

We maybe in lockdown but we are starting the year off with a bang and supporting Prostate Cancer UK. We are raising money to support one of our work colleagues who was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer who has shown such positivity, bravery and courage in beating his diagnosis.

In January five of our workers from mechanics, to the marketing man to the bosses themselves are working together to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. Each person will be running 26.6 miles over the course of January with a target of raising £2000 plus for Prostate Cancer UK. The boys so far have already run a combined 43 miles and are going strong already raising £809.

Here are the boys first runs. First up we have the bosses who have run 18.8miles each.

Next up we have Simon our head mechanic getting his first run under his belt.

Here we have Clive our senior vehicle diagnostics adviser out on a run.

Last but not least we have Dean our digital marketing man running his first 3.2 miles last night.

Who knows we may well run more than 26.6 miles each, but what is most important is raising money for Prostate Cancer UK. The research that this charity carries out is important because it helps them shape the treatments needed in getting people treated sustaining people’s lives through management of the illness.

Prostate Cancer is now the most diagnosed cancer in the UK. Every 45 minutes a man will die of prostate cancer, loved ones such as dad’s, granddads, brothers, uncles and friends are lost to this terrible disease.

Having a close member of the team being diagnosed with prostate cancer has really opened our eyes to this form of cancer. We have been inspired by the resilience of our work colleague and are happy to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK helping them continue their research to find treatments and cures for this form of cancer that will help save lives.
