We have been talking a lot about electrical cars and how they are going to be ever more prevalent in the future. This does not mean to say that combustion vehicles that use diesel or petrol to power the vehicle are going out of fashion any time soon.

For the next 20 to 30 years, you will still see vehicles that will be powered by diesel and petrol. The government are banning the sale of new combustion vehicles from 2030, this means that we still have 9 years where car manufacturers are going to go all out and design more vehicles that are environmentally efficient, however are powered by diesel and petrol.

The good news is our garage is fully equipped to service both electrical vehicles and combustion powered vehicles. Our independent garage has been established for 20 years and we have been around the block.

Let us look at a vehicle that recently found its way to the garage. Pictured below we have an Audi vehicle.

This vehicle could not change gears properly. The Audi was slipping out of gear and unable to select certain gears, why did this happen? We suspected that there was a fault with the clutch. We took the clutch out and could see the clutch components had become worn, we therefore had to change the clutch.

Here is a picture of the worn-out clutch along with a VAG tool we invested £1000 in to remove the clutch.
