We have all the facilities needed to repair all kinds of electrical faults with the most modern-day vehicles. So, let’s look at what we are servicing next from our vehicle electrical bay. Pictured just below we have a Mercedes A180.

This vehicle has a wiring fault and cannot communicate between the accelerator pedal and the ECU. When the vehicle is out on the road basically what is happening is the vehicle is losing power when applying the accelerator pedal.
This Mercedes vehicle uses a break-by-wire system, it uses an electronic system to measure how hard the driver needs to apply the brake pedal, however if there is no communication between the ECU and the brake and accelerator pedals because of faulty wiring means, there cannot be any measurement of how much the brake pedal needs to be applied, it basically renders the brake-by-wire system useless.
However, faulty wiring can be fixed, we have everything needed to replace the wiring and get the brake-by-wire system working again, communicating with the ECU and you being able to brake just at the right measurements. Here are our mechanics working to rectifying the problem.

Main dealers charge anything over £120 plus per hour to fix electric faults, our prices are not so steep. We charge £70 for an hour’s diagnostic, and if we can fix any wiring without ordering parts within that hour, we will only charge you £70 for the diagnostic.
This a great example where we are much better on price than main dealers. When you come to our garage you will receive a high standard service to the same level if not better than main dealers. We invest in all of the state-of-the-art equipment needed to properly diagnose electrical faults.
We launched our electrical bay in 2016 and have had to expand it to cope with demand. Vehicles manufactured by car brands are designed very complexly. They are designing their cars in such a complicated fashion so that it forces motorists to use main dealers for vehicle servicing, the problem with that is you will have to pay main dealer rates, so, be careful.
What you need to do is find an independent garage like A1 Diagnostics that invests in its facility. What do we mean invest? Every garage who says they offer reliable vehicle servicing must invest in all the latest vehicle technology to accurately diagnose faults, any garage that does not will not be able to deliver a reliable service.
When you seek out an independent garage, ask these questions. How much experience does the garage have? What experience do the mechanics have, and lastly does the garage invest in the latest diagnostic technology to reliably repair and fix vehicle faults? These are questions that need to be answered confidently to give you the confidence that you need in order to work with an independent garage.
