We looked at the news this morning and WOW, what an announcement by Ford. They are to invest in a whopping $11.5bn in a new electrical vehicle plant. This means that they will be designing the next crop of electrically powered vehicles. It has been reported that they will be creating 11,000 jobs in this new venture.

We have been writing about electrical a lot. At A1 Diagnostics we saw the change coming as far back as 2015. It was clear to see that vehicles were being designed in a way where they would better serve the environment. This is why we opened a vehicle electrics bay in 2016 and have been continually investing in it ever since.

Just this year have we had to expand the vehicle electrical bay by 2000sqft. The demand for electrical servicing has already increased in a very short space of time, opening this 2000sqft of floor space for electrical servicing is evidence of that.

Here is a photo of a vehicle currently being serviced on the new floor space. This vehicle was having all the ADAS systems re-collaborated.

We have all the facilities needed to service your electrical vehicle. Like Ford we are adapting and investing in the change this electrical revolution is bringing about. We want to make sure that we stay ahead of the game, because when combustion engines are dis-continued in the next 20 years the garages that have forecasted for the change and invested in upgrading their facilities will be the ones that survive.
