Throughout 2024 we have been keeping a keen eye on the electrical market. We have seen Tesla sales drop but bounce back, China has been making a huge dent in the electrical vehicle market and this latest development, where we are seeing Nissan cutting 9000 jobs worldwide could be another indicator that electrically powered vehicles are causing vehicle manufacturers problems because of lack of demand for hybrids.
Nissan have told the BBC that they are not getting smaller as a company, they are just restructuring.
Halfway through the year we showed the sales stats of electrically powered vehicles sold.

We called it, this graph clearly indicates that the major motor brands that have dominated the vehicle market are catching up with the likes of Tesla and Chinese based BYD. The reason why Tesla sales dropped was because the markets were becoming more competitive. Why do we write about such things here at A1, because if the world is going electrical, we are ready here at A1 Diagnostics.
We do not believe that combustion powered engines that drive your vehicle forward are on the way out any time soon. However, we do believe that electrical vehicles are becoming more popular and all independent garages will need to adapt to accommodate them.
Here at A1 Diagnostics, we have invested over £100k in electrical diagnostics equipment, and a state-of-the-art vehicle electrics diagnostics bay. Here are photos of the bay below.

This is to ensure that when the demand for electrically powered vehicles increases and maintenance services demands increase, we will be in a place where we can take care of all of your electrically powered vehicle maintenance needs.
