In 2024 we kept a keen eye on the electrically powered vehicle market. We talked about Tesla sales taking a tumble, to mainstream vehicle companies like Mercedes, Audi and others catching up with the electrics market.

We are continuing to watch the market. The latest development that caught our eye was BMW halting the production of Mini electrically powered vehicles reading about this on the BBC news website.

BMW have said that stopping production is just a delay, or is it more because the demand for electrically powered vehicles is collapsing. We will have to continue to monitor the direction the electrical market is heading as it will affect garages all over the UK. That being said we are getting ready here at our own independent garage for vehicles that need electrical maintenance services.

We saw the change back in 2016 seeing more electrical devices being added into vehicles. We didn’t hang about installing a state-of-the-art vehicle electrics bay ensuring we can service all electric faults on vehicles. Here is the bay pictured below.
