One customer recently brought in a Volkswagen ID3 for diagnostic treatment by our highly-skilled mechanics. They were experiencing a persistent anti-collision warning light displaying in the cabin, despite no risk of collision being present. Here is the vehicle pictured in our electrical bay:

Warning lights can sometimes be triggered by minor glitches that are easily sorted. Something as simple as dirt or heavy rain can cover the sensors and cause the car to think there are dangers that actually aren’t present. A quick wipe over of the sensors can correct these kinds of alerts, after which drivers should monitor their warning lights carefully to make sure there is no repeat triggering which could indicate a more fundamental issue.

The ID3 received a software patch from our mechanics onsite, and the problem with the persistent warning light was quickly resolved.
