At A1 Diagnostics we regularly attend motor trade events to stay in the loop with industry developments.

We recently attended a conference, and we were amazed to see vehicle sales have increased in December 2022 for twelfth years in a row. Volkswagen being one of the main players and this comes as a surprise as they have had a bumpy ride when it came to the emissions scandal. This looks like Volkswagen are turning a corner and their brand is still a popular one. A more specific stat Volkswagen sold a total of 63,601 vehicles in 2022.

Overall, we learned from Car Mag that over the last 12 years in every month of December car sales have experienced growth, with December 2022 being a bumper month. 36.9% of sales in 2022 were medium commercial vehicles and heavy commercial vehicles and bus sales rose to 23.1%.

So it looks like the car market is back on track especially after a turbulent few years where the Covid19 pandemic caused mayhem across the globe in the motor market. This bodes well for the future of independent garages especially ones like our here at A1 Diagnostics.

We have seen demand increase at our independent garage for a whole range of services and that includes ADAS systems. Yes we can service engines, brakes, gearboxes and a whole array of motor services, however ADAS systems have really been in demand.

So much so that we have had to invest in our second ADAS calibration bay. Here are a few photos of our most recently setup ADAS bay.
