We took it upon ourselves to train technicians to understand mechanical damage, training them to MET qualifications. This has helped the automotive trade move forward and to help plug the shortage. We are now applying for BSI kitemark. We will be the very first independent garage to strive for this, creating a repair centre that is focused on mechanical work only without panel and paint.
We look after a fleet of 846 vans for a company offering a 2 hour no book system, we hit 96% of our 2-hour target window in 2023 getting the drivers back on the road within the time stated. Work carried out for this fleet could be anywhere from electrical work such as wiring repairs to mechanical.
