According to recent research there is going to be a huge surge in people booking their cars in for MOT in October 2020. Because of Covid19 there is a huge back log of vehicle’s that need service work, this means garages are currently being overwhelmed.
The reason we are writing about this today, is to warn our customers and motorists not to leave it to the last minute to book your vehicle in for service work. It is getting very busy at our garage, yes we have the capacity to service up to 30 vehicles a day, however when this surge of vehicles come’s our way you could be waiting a while for repair work on your vehicle.
It is better to get the vehicle in well before the surge. The graph produced by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency shows their forecast for demand.
It is only going to get busier and busier for all garages up and down the UK. We are suggesting to all our customers and motorists to pre-book their vehicle in with us to avoid the surge. If you fail to book in your vehicle and approach us when we are at full capacity, then you could be waiting for up to 2 weeks before we can look at your vehicle.
We are trying to pre-empt the backlog about to hit our garage. We can efficiently get all vehicles serviced and MOT’d on time providing that motorists pre-plan their trips to the garage. We have capacity to service up to 30 vehicles a day depending on what kind of work is needed to be undertaken.
If we can organise all the vehicle bookings before this surge means, you the motorist’s will not have to wait days on end, even weeks on end to get your vehicle back. If you work with us, we will make sure we get your vehicle serviced as efficiently as possible.
Pre-planning ahead could save you money
We know for a fact that there is going to be a big surge in vehicle bookings at garages. If you pre-book and pre-plan your visit to the garage this means you will pay the prices your supposed to pay. Because the demand is going to increase you will find that garages will increase their prices. Increased prices mean more costs for you to pay.
Do not get taken advantage of by garages looking to take advantage of the increased demand. We are in a recession at the end of the day, and every penny counts for motorists and people needing to get through this severe recession.
