The government has unveiled plans to cut car journeys by 500,000 by 2030. This is all part of the governments plans to cut carbon emissions in the UK, playing its part in contributing to climate change helping cool the planet.

At our garage pictured below, we are adapting to the revolutionary changes in electrically powered vehicles.

We saw the change back in 2015 that cars were gearing toward electrical power. The change in technology was staggering. Therefore, we knew we had to start thinking about developing service’s that caters for electrically powered vehicles. We decided to open a fully functioning electrical bay to service vehicles with electrical technology, pictured below.

We opened our electrical bay in 2016 and we have seen this part of the garage go from strength to strength. We opened up 1000sqft of floor space to service vehicles with electrical technology. Well, we have good news, in 2021 we have further developed our electrical bay and opened up a further 2000sqft due to growth in servicing electrically powered vehicles, here is a vehicle receiving electrical service work.

Not only do we use the electrical bay to service electrically powered vehicles. We also use the electrical bay to re-collaborate ADAS systems, driver aided systems. If a sensor or system becomes mis-aligned, from parking aides where the sensors are not accurately telling you how close you are to a bollard, wall or curb, if this happens to an owner’s vehicle, we re-collaborate the sensors and driver aide in our electrical bay.

A1 Diagnostics are also helping the fight against climate change. We are adapting to ensure that when these government plans and targets are being unveiled by 2030, we are doing our bit for climate change as well as helping motorists out on the road with new electrically powered vehicles.
