AdBlue is a fluid that does not smell, not flammable and is biodegradable, meaning it can breakdown naturally returning to nature without it harming the environment. A bit like how natural food waste breaks down into helpful compost, this is another reason why AdBlue is a beneficial product that helps the environment.
AdBlue solution works whereby the fluid is distributed through the exhaust system. A chemical reaction occurs grabbing any harmful gases coming from the exhaust, gases like nitrogen oxide. These gases are turned into harmless substances like water which are not harmful to the environment.
AdBlue will need topping up from time to time. If you do not top up your AdBlue levels in diesel vehicles the vehicle will often not start. Most vehicles that are diesel run will alert you to low AdBlue levels. A warning light will pop up on the dashboard to tell you that you need to top up your levels.
