The first fault was the DPF was blocked. A DPF stands for “Diesel Particulate Filter”. It is a device fitted to Land Rover Discovery vehicles to trap and store soot particles produced by the vehicle’s engine. Trapping harmful emission it helps improve the environments air quality.
On this occasion we were unable regenerate the DPF, we therefore had to completely replace the DPF on the vehicle to ensure that the soot produced from the engine was being correctly collected.
The second fault on the vehicle was the Ad-Blue injector was leaking. AdBlue for those that do not know is a fluid added to the engine that helps reduce harmful emissions. It is designed to improve air quality in the environment.
We had to replace the leaking AdBlue injector, replace the seals and gasket. This stopped the Ad Blue leak. All the repairs have been carried out for the driver and the vehicle is back out on the road working exactly how it should be.
