We are experts when it comes to servicing Land Rover engines. Pictured below we have a Land Rover vehicle in one of our engine bays that was having problems with its engine.

On inspection we could see that there was carbon build up in the engine. Carbon build-up in a Land Rover engine is simply soot and oil particles amassing where it should not. Over time it restricts airflow and interferes with the combustion process causing stress on the engine and specific engine components such as the timing belt.
What carbon build-up does to a Land Rover engine
Carbon can build up in the following areas of the vehicle.
• Intake manifold
• Turbo
• DPF
• Fuel injectors
• EGR valve
When carbon builds up it causes the engine to work much harder. In the case of the Land Rover pictured above the timing belt became faulty due to strain from the carbon build up.
This was no problem for us. We replaced the timing belt and carried out maintenance work on the Land Rover engine. The engine is now working perfectly with all the excess carbon removed.
At A1 Diagnostics we have mechanics that have years of experience diagnosing faults on Land Rover vehicles.
