This is all getting rather confusing. Will the sale of petrol and diesel vehicles be happening in 2030 or 2035? That is the question. Obviously, there was a general election last year and with a new government comes new ideas from the previous.

Firstly, when the Conservatives were in power before they got removed, they said they were delaying the ban of sale for petrol and diesel vehicles until 2035. The new Labour government have come in and have now said they will bring that ban forward to 2030. So, there you have it, the sale of petrol and diesel vehicles will be banned in 2030 as announced by the Department for Transport.

Why are we here at A1 Diagnostics making such a fuss over this? Well, it is because we want to let all of our customers know that it doesn’t make any difference to our operations here at our award-winning independent garage. Even if vehicles powered by combustion are banned in 2030, we will still be servicing them long after the ban takes place. There will still be a demand for servicing vehicles powered by combustion.

Not only that but we have already geared up our garage in order to service electrical faults on vehicles. We saw as far back as 2016 vehicles having more electrical technology put on them to make them more fuel efficient and also clearly designed to help the environment. We didn’t hang about. We opened up a brand-new electrical bay kitted out with all the best tech needed to service electrical faults on vehicles.
