What is a starter motor?

A starter motor is a very important component of the vehicle. Without a starter motor your vehicle will not start as it will have nothing to power up the engine. The starter motor is an electrical motor that will help turn the flywheel in the engine, starting the flywheel will start the engine. If it has become faulty in anyway then you will have a problem starting the vehicle.

Signs you have a starter motor problem.

If you are experiencing problems starting your vehicle then you could have a starter motor problem. Here are classic signs.

– You will here a clicking sound when trying to start the vehicle that turns over constantly.
– You will here a sharp grinding noise when trying to start the vehicle.
– The engine will turn over very slowly, it will feel very weak.
– The engine will start intermittently or sometimes not start at all.

These are all signs you have a starter motor problem and will need to book your vehicle in for a diagnostic.
