We have been servicing a lot of Nissan manufactured vehicles from our independent garage recently. Pictured below we have a Nissan car.

This vehicle was having power issues. When the vehicle owner applied the accelerator there was no great acceleration to the level expected. Not only that the vehicle was billowing white smoke from the exhaust. These are classic signs the vehicle has a turbo issue.

We inspected the vehicle and we could see that there was metallic shrapnel build up inside the turbo. This build up happens when there is wear within engine components, it can also be caused by oil contamination where the wrong oil grade has been used to lubricate the engine. Here is a photo of the metallic build up inside the turbo which was causing the issue.
