It is official Volkswagen have changed their name in the US

A few days ago we read that Volkswagen could be potentially changing their name in the US, from Volkswagen to Voltswagen. Well the rumours were true, and that is exactly what the German manufacturer are going to do.

We must say this is a very clever marketing push by Volkswagen, and a great way to highlight their era of building environmentally friendly electrically powered vehicles. It was really funny to see how they unveiled this name change, accidentally leaking the change online a month ahead of schedule, but the BBC have now finally confirmed they have made the change in the US.

Why are we talking about this when it comes to Volkswagen business in the US? Well we are pretty certain that in months to come they will likely do the same in the UK. That is likely to be dependant on how successful the name change will be in the US, but if it is successful then stand by, Voltswagen might well be heading to the UK.
