We are an independent garage that have almost twenty years of experience servicing vehicles of many different brands. We are experts at engine repairs especially when it comes to replacing timing chains.
In the last 3 workings days we have replaced the timing chain on four vehicles. Here is the first vehicle. A Jaguar model.

This Jaguar car was experiencing shuddering vibrations coming from underneath the bonnet. This is a classic symptom of a timing chain becoming faulty over time. We replaced the chain, and the engine is working as it should. The vehicle is now back with the owner. Next up we have a Mercedes model parked up in one of our engine bays.

This vehicle was experiencing misfiring problems and loss of power, plus the engine management light was illuminated. Another classic sign that there was a problem with the engine, and when we inspected it there was a problem with the timing chain. Next up we have a Land Rover vehicle that was rough idling. Here is the Land Rover pictured below.

What does rough idling mean? Rough Idling is when the vehicle is at a stand still, or lets say stationary in a parking position or when stopped at traffic lights. When stationary you will feel shakes, vibrations and the RPMs on the vehicle become unstable. This indicates there is some kind of issue happening with the engine. We inspected the vehicle and we could see the timing chain had become faulty and we needed to replace it.
