In our electrical bay we have a Mazda 3 that was in the garage because of an engine fault. Here is the vehicle pictured in our electrical bay.

The engine was misfiring. What is an engine misfire? It is when the cylinders fail to burn the correct air-fuel mix. What you would normally suspect when an engine misfire occurs is the ignition coils or spark plugs have become corrupted in some way.
On inspection we could see that on this occasion there was a wiring fault mainly to do with the pins that plug into the ECU were damaged. The pins are essential as they need to be structurally sound in order to send signals to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) when starting the vehicle. This was what was causing the misfire on the engine and causing the engine management light to display on the vehicles dashboard.
We disconnected the battery and removed the ECU connectors; we inspected all of the pins and replaced the faulty ones. We fire the engine up and the engine started exactly how it should start not misfiring.
We are a highly sophisticated garage that has all of the equipment needed to successfully repair and maintenance vehicle engines. We are not afraid to invest in diagnostics tech to ensure we pin-point exact faults on engines. We plugged our equipment into the Mazda 3 and it immediately indicated a wiring fault and communications with the engine control unit were corrupted.
