Electrically powered vehicles and combustion-powered vehicles differ in several key ways. Here we look at some of the differences in this new era where people are still buying combustion engine powered vehicles as well as electrical.

1. Power Source: Combustion vehicles are powered by an internal combustion engine that burns gasoline or diesel fuel, whereas electric vehicles are powered by an electric motor that runs on electricity stored in batteries.
2. Fuel Efficiency: Electric vehicles are generally more fuel-efficient than combustion vehicles. This is because electric vehicles convert up to 80% of the stored energy into motion, whereas combustion vehicles typically only convert around 20% of the fuel energy into motion.
3. Emissions: Combustion vehicles produce emissions when they burn fuel, including carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter. Electric vehicles produce no tailpipe emissions, although emissions may be generated during the production of the electricity that charges their batteries.
4. Maintenance: Combustion vehicles have a more complex engine and transmission system, which requires more frequent maintenance than electric vehicles. Electric vehicles have fewer moving parts, which means there are fewer things that can break or wear out.
5. Cost: Electric vehicles are generally more expensive to purchase than combustion vehicles, although their lower operating costs may make up for the higher purchase price over time.
6. Driving Experience: Electric vehicles tend to be quieter and smoother to drive than combustion vehicles. They also often have instant torque and acceleration, which can make them more fun to drive. Combustion vehicles, on the other hand, tend to have a more traditional driving experience that many people are familiar with.
