Pictured below we have a Citroen C3 sitting in one of our engine bays.

This vehicle came into the workshop as the vehicle had driven more than 60,000 miles out on the road. Citroen recommend that you should replace your wet belt on your vehicle when you have driven between 60,000 and 100,000 miles.
It is always a good idea to stick to the manufacturers recommendation when replacing your Citroen vehicles wet belt. If the wet belt is faulty and snaps it can cause serious damage to your vehicles engine. So severe that you may need a new engine all together.
There are other signs you could be seeing that will indicate you need a wet belt replaced on your Citroen engine. Lets take a look at some of these signals:
1) The engine management light has lit up on the dashboard.
2) Your Citroen C3 is losing power when driving out on the road.
3) You maybe hearing large rattling and banging noises coming from under the bonnet.
4) When you check the oil in the engine you may see rubber elements within the oil. This is an indication that the wet belt is wearing and has contaminated the oil.
You may also be seeing wet belt error codes coming up on your dashboard. Here are a list or error codes and what they are:
